Andrew Oross' Pair Lead Spotswood To Victory Over Wardlaw-Hartridge

EDISON, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team broke their two game losing streak with a 4-0 shutout over Wardlaw-Hartridge High School on Monday, September 11. Andrew Oross netted two goals and an assist in the first half to help give the Chargers a 3-0 lead by the halftime break.

Yanni Hatzistefanis and Liam Barlow both added goals for Spotswood in the win. Hatzistefanis also had an assist for the Chargers. Chris Moran and Brian Lumsden each had assists as well.

Andrew Bishara and Matt Evanego both spent time in goal, combining for the shutout. Bishara had five saves while Evanego had six.

Isaiah Singh had four saves for Wardlaw-Hartridge. The Rams had 11 shots in the game while the Chargers had eight.

The win moves the Chargers early season overall record to 2-2. They are 1-2 in conference play. Spotswood will face one of their main soccer rivals on Wednesday, September 13 when they take on South River High School at the Spotswood High School Varsity Soccer Field at 4 p.m.
