Bartfalvi and Greene Concerned Over Taxes, County Budget and One Party Rule

For decades the Democrats have controlled the County of Middlesex Board of Chosen Freeholders. Despite this, a significant majority of the residents don’t know what a Freeholder is or what their role is in County government. We would like to change this by aggressively reaching out to the residents of Middlesex County by attending local town meetings throughout the County in an effort to highlight all the programs available to the residents.

With a Middlesex County budget approaching nearly one half a billion dollars, we need a fresh look into the revenues and expenditures of the County. For instance, it is startling to know that the real estate taxes that are sent to the County by some towns are almost equivalent to the real estate taxes that support the town’s very own municipal budget. We believe that this allocation of real estate taxes must be scrutinized.

We will work hard to bring bipartisan solutions to the government of Middlesex County. This is something that has been missing for many years.
