EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - After the Edison Eagles took an early lead, the East Brunswick offense, led by quarterback James Schuld, stormed back. The Bears offense came to play as they pulled out a big 35-12 victory.

On the first drive of the game, the Eagles connected on a long touchdown pass to take an early 6-0 lead over the Bears. Later in the quarter with only two minutes remaining James Sculd ran it into the endzone to take a 7-6 lead.

In the second quarter the Bears defense set up the offense after a forced fumble. Good field position allowed for Schuld to run for his 2nd touchdown of the game to take a 14-6 lead. With time running out in the second quarter Schuld ran in for yet another touchdown to take a commanding 21-6 lead. However, Edison got the ball back with less than one minute left in the half and went down the field. With the final seconds of the first half running down, the Eagles connected for another touchdown pass to cut the deficit to just nine points.

For the rest of the game the Bears and Eagles traded possessions. The Bears defense stood strong for the rest of the game as they did not allow Edison another point. The Bears scored a few late game touchdowns to extend their lead and finish the game with a 35-12 win. As a result of this win, East Brunswick has to win their next two games to qualify for the playoffs.
