PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Edison boys basketball team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament with a 62-55 victory over Timothy Christian on Thursday.

Abu Kaikai scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds for Edison (15-10), which outscored Timothy Christian, 23-11, in the first quarter.

Paul Rago finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Alkeim Raines scored 12 points and distributed a team-high eight assists for the Eagles.

Edison will play top-seeded St. Joseph's of Metuchen in a GMC Tournament quarterfinal game Sunday at Middlesex County College.
