PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Piscataway Chiefs celebrated Senior Night with a 58-47 victory over the J.P. Stevens Hawks on Tuesday in the PHS Anthony Gymnasium.

The Chiefs’ D’Ondre Dent led the team with 19 points, while Keyshawn Grant and Cameron Saintil each put up 9 points, followed by Dajhaun Bennerman who scored 8 points in the win.

Elisha Smith led the Hawks with a game high 20 points, while Rishav Ghosh added 10 points.

The PHS community honored the team’s seven seniors in a pregame ceremony by presenting each of them with framed photo posters of themselves. This year’s seniors are:

# 2 Mekhi Morgan

#4 Dajhaun Bennerman

#5 D’Ondre Dent

#11Deandre Scott

#12 Matt Dread

# 23 Noah Freeney

The Chiefs’ record moves to 11-8 overall and improves to 4-6 in the GMC Red Division. And the Hawks are now 6-13 overall, 3-1 in the conference division.

East Brunswick Rabbi Charged with Engaging in Prostitution with a Child

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

New Brunswick Prisoner Reentry Site to Open Tuesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who has made prisoner reentry programs his major focus, will be on hand Tuesday to open a new site on Livingston Avenue. 

McGreevey runs the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a nonprofit agency serving court-involved individuals. The opening is set for 11 a.m. at  57 Livingston Avenue, Unit 3, New Brunswick, N.J.
