CLARK, NJ – Duck Donuts is forecasting a spring opening of its fifth New Jersey location in the Clark Circle Shopping Plaza according to Kristin Kellum, PR Manager of Duck Donuts.

The Duck Donut made-to-order experience begins with a hot vanilla caked donut cooked up fresh. What it becomes after it exits the fryer is up to the person preparing to eat it.

Customers can choose to leave the warm donut bare or have it coated in chocolate, powder sugar, cinnamon sugar or any other favorite.

Toppings come next.  There are countless choices such as coconut, sprinkles, peanuts, bacon, graham crackers and other creative culinary enhancements.

The last step is a choice of drizzle over the donut. Some of them include hot fudge, maple, salted caramel, vanilla and even marshmallow.

“The family-friendly stores offer a viewing area where children and adults alike can watch their donuts being made,” said Kellum.  The end product is a customized donut served up to each individual’s taste.

Union County residents have a few months to wait for this new store to open. The first Duck Donut location opened in Duck, NC in 2006 and according to their Facebook page they have grown to 50 locations with many more coming soon.

According to Kellum, locals interested in employment should check the Duck Donuts Clark Facebook page periodically for more information.
