Paul Saxton, the District's Interim Superintendent also reminded parents to “take advantage of all available programs that will help in the development of your child. Maintain a high level of communication with the classroom teacher and if you have any questions regarding programs or procedures, don’t hesitate to ask."

“I find it very common for parents just coming into the school system are reluctant to sometimes express their point of view or express concerns and that doesn’t foster good communications” he told TAPinto Edison.

Mr. Saxton also offered the following tips for parents enrolling their child in the kindergarten program. ““Maintain a positive attitude for your child and talk to them everyday about what they did in school,  and gives them an opportunity for developing their communication skills and also they can begin to develop organizational skills and they are thinking about the different activities they did and then conveying that information to their parents when they get home.”
