Edison Arts Society Features New Artist in Exhibit Opening


Edison, NJ - The Edison Arts Society is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its latest exhibit, featuring the beautiful artwork of Anjana Jose. The exhibit opening will occur on Wednesday, January 18 at 6:30 pm at the EAS Gallery, which is located on the Third Floor of the Edison Municipal Building, 100 Municipal Boulevard, directly off of Route 27 and is free to the public. Following the unveiling of the artwork, light refreshments will be served.

Anjana Jose was raised in Cochin, India where, as a youngster, she began formal training in pencil sketching and water color painting. Coming from a family of artists, her talent was nurtured and grew from being a hobby to Jose becoming a professional artist. Now passionate about her work, Jose has benefitted from formal training at the Ridgewood Art Institute in New Jersey. Her favorite subjects are people and nature.

MaryAnn Martin, the Visual Arts Director of the EAS states, “Anjana's style is full of detail and color. One can clearly identify an emotion in her strokes.” ebruary 27.

Membership to the EAS is $30, money which helps to support art programs in a myriad of artistic genre, including theatre, dance, music, poetry, painting sculpture, and photography.

Applications to Rutgers Jump Nearly 10 Percent; Increase from Out-of-State Students

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Applications to Rutgers University this year increased 9.4 percent over last year, university President Robert Barchi told the Board of Governors at a meeting this week.
