EDISON, NJ – The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County in conjunction with the Edison Recreation Department held The Edison Township Menorah Lighting & Hanukkah Celebration to celebrate the festival of lights on Dec. 3.
The event featured holiday music, provided by “Tuvia”, and performances by the John Adams Middle School Bel Canto Choir, directed by Aida Gamboa. Present at the event were Mayor Thomas Lankey, and members of the Edison Township Council.
CEO of JCC of Middlesex County, Dorothy Rubinstein said, “It’s a diverse event. It’s a celebration of unity- a celebration of light and spirit, and I think in this world, as things are today, I think it’s just amazing that everybody comes together with such joy and such happiness to celebrate something good,” adding, "It's amazing because the parents and the children and the staff just get such a charge out of everybody celebrating."
