Experience: From 2004 to the present, my service to the Edison Township community has steadily increased, starting with my participation in the Edison Youth Service Corps in 2004. I was a 2006 intern in the Mayor’s Office and I later worked in the Municipal Court Violations Bureau.  From 2010-14, I served on the town’s Fair Rental Housing Board and, for the past year, on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

STATEMENT: The most important issue over the next few years will be Edison’s continued economic growth. Since 2014, Mayor Tom Lankey has done a great job of attracting new, larger commercial and corporate investors to Edison. The Lankey Administration has brought in over 3,500 new, higher-paying jobs and has strengthened our local economy. It is important for these efforts to continue and grow.

If elected, I would promote redevelopment in the neighborhood nearest to the Edison Train Station, at Plainfield and Central Avenues. This area offers significant growth potential. There are sufficient underused properties, ripe for redevelopment. These could easily become a vibrant, new commercial marketplace. Attracting new commercial investments is necessary to relieve the tax burden on our residential property owners.
