Edison, NJ - The Edison Elks #2487 donated $2,500 worth of food to the Middlesex County College Food Pantry. The Pantry, which opened in January 2018, is located at the College Center, room 170B.
“We like to better our community,” said Doug Pearson, past exalted ruler of the chapter. The Elks, one of the oldest and largest fraternal organizations in the country, is dedicated to community service, with a special focus on young people, food insecurity, veterans, military families, and children with developmental disabilities.
Students in need can visit the pantry during its scheduled hours on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donations are first come, first served. Donations can be dropped off at the Student Life Office, College Center 213, or at bin locations throughout campus.
