Edison Hockey Gives up Five Unanswered Goals to Watchung Hills

DUNELLEN, NJ – After a 2-2 tie at the end of the first period Edison was holding its own.

Then Watchung Hills scored five unanswered goals in the second period to take a commanding lead.

Chuck Youse and Daniel Naraine scored one each for Edison. William DiSano-Dominic stopped 14 and Parker McKenna saved 13 for Edison.

Zach Lindewirth scored three goals and had an assist to lead Watchung Hills to an 8-2 win over Edison at Rock Ice on Saturday afternoon.

Harrison Napell scored two goals for Watchung Hills. Josh LoGiudice, Alec Friedman and Daniel Lee each scored a goal in the win.

Dominic Montecalvo made six saves for Watchung Hills.

The Edison Township Co-Op Hockey Team of players from Edison High School and J.P. Stevens looks to continue to capitalize on the experience of seniors along with the new players for the 2014-2015 season.

They are 0-7 for the season, but are making improving as a team with every game.

Their next is December 29 against Bayonne at the Korpi Arena at 5 p.m.
