Edison Man Arrested in Connection to Burglaries in Ringwood, NJ

RINGWOOD, NJ - The Ringwood Police Department responded to approximately twelve motor vehicle burglaries throughout the Borough on December 18, 2014. During the course of the burglaries the suspects removed Christmas presents, compact discs, camera’s, identification, phone chargers, sun glasses, tools, check books, lab tops, cell phone, and assorted clothing.

Investigation by the Ringwood Police revealed that Joseph Caffiero, 29, of Edison, NJ and Nathan Pendrak, 33, of Passaic, NJ were responsible for all 12 burglaries. On December 22, 2014 Detective Sgt. Hafner, Detective Rapp, and Detective Longo arrested both individuals.

As a result of their arrest searches of the vehicle they were using and places of residence were conducted. The searches revealed evidence of the Ringwood burglaries as well as burglaries throughout North Jersey and into New York State. At this time Ringwood Police is still conducting an inventory of the recovered items.

Joseph Caffiero was charged with 12 counts of Burglary, 12 counts of theft, Fraudulent use of credit cards, and criminal mischief. Nathan Pendrak was also charged with 12 counts of Burglary, 12 counts of Theft, Fraudulent use of credit cards, Criminal Mischief, Poss. of crack cocaine, Poss. of herion, and Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bail was set by Honorable Judge Joseph Perconti at $25,000.00 full. As a result both suspects were remanded to Passaic County Jail pending court
