EDISON, NJ – The Edison Board of Education approved a settlement agreement between the Maine State Music Theater and Edison High School on Monday evening.

The Maine State Music Theatre originally sued the Edison School District for $197,000 for damaged costumes loaned for a production of the musical comedy “Spamalot.”

When the question was posed by a resident at the recent school board meeting, Jonathan Busch, board attorney for the school district, stated the settlement would cost $36,300.

Edison High School staged its performance of “Spamalot” in May of 2013 and the lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Maine.
