EDISON, NJ – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch that remains in effect until 7 p.m. this evening for Edison and surrounding areas.

Residents are advised to listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to www.weather.gov on the for more information.

Tuesday Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 92. Southwest wind around 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind 9 to 11 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

New Brunswick Prisoner Reentry Site to Open Tuesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who has made prisoner reentry programs his major focus, will be on hand Tuesday to open a new site on Livingston Avenue. 

McGreevey runs the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a nonprofit agency serving court-involved individuals. The opening is set for 11 a.m. at  57 Livingston Avenue, Unit 3, New Brunswick, N.J.
