EDISON, NJ - Edward V. Burrell, 55, of Edison, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at Monmouth County Care Center, Freehold.

Born in Staten Island, NY, he resided in Edison since 1973.

Edward was a graduate of Edison High School.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and animal lover. He especially loved his dog Rambo.

He is predeceased by his parents Edward (d.2008) and Florence Burrell (d.2008).

Surviving are his sisters Patricia A. Burrell of Las Vegas, NV and Dawn Ferrara and her husband Anthony of Freehold; one nephew Anthony Ferrara and one niece Brianna Ferrara.

Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10:15am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave.(Rt27) Metuchen followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's RC Church, Edison.

Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. -

Nearly $900K Bid Received for Construction of New New Brunswick Park

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Only one company submitted a bid to build a new city park on land where three abandoned houses once stood.

A-Tech Concrete of Edison submitted a bid of $897,316.25 to construct a park on Welton Street, near Drift Street.

Rutgers Hikes Tuition, Student Fees for 2018-2019 Academic Year

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University Board of Governors today approved a 2.3 percent hike in tuition and fees, as well as increases for dorm rooms and meals, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
