MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – Five banks have been robbed in Middlesex County in the last four weeks. On March 17, TD Bank on Oak Tree Road in Edison, on March 31, Magyar Savings Bank on Inman Avenue in Edison, on April 9, Investors Bank on North Washington Avenue in Dunellen, on April 14, Wells Fargo Bank at the corner of Oak Tree Road and Park Avenue in South Plainfield was robbed and on April 15, Unity Bank on Bound Brook Road in Middlesex was robbed.

In each case the robberies all took place around 4 p.m. In three of the robberies authorities have reported the suspect to be a black male, with a medium build wearing a cap. No details regarding the robbery in Middlesex have been released other than the robbery took place around 4 p.m.

In both the Dunellen and Edison robberies authorities indicate a note was passed to the tellers demanding money. TAP into South Plainfield will provide updates to this story when they become available.
