EDISON, NJ - The East Brunswick girls basketball team built an 11-point lead after one quarter en route to a 76-55 victory over Edison in the opener for both teams Friday night.
Alyssa Bondi sank six 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 22 points for East Brunswick, which led, 18-7, after one quarter and 66-37 after three quarters.
Nicole Johnson and Bianca Nakar each netted 16 points for East Brunswick. Nakar dropped in four 3-pointers.
Daniella Marmol finished with 28 points, 19 rebounds and six blocked shots for Edison, which also got nine points from Lourdes Marasigan.
