Girls Basketball: Edison Gets Past South Brunswick, 45-41, in 2 OTs

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Edison girls basketball team needed two overtime sessions to defeat South Brunswick, 45-41, Thursday night.

Edison (4-5), which trailed by six points at halftime, outscored the Vikings, 7-3, in the second overtime.

Samira Sargent finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists for the Eagles. Daniella Marmol totaled 12 points, 15 rebounds, five blocked shots and three steals in the victory. Virginia Lagdameo led Edison in assists with five.

Alexis Adams led South Brunswick (5-2) with 18 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
