EDISON, NJ - The Edison girls basketball team reeled off 28 points in the first quarter to take command on its way to a 73-57 victory over Woodbridge in the first round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament Wednesday night.

Lourdes Marasigan collected 19 points, nine assists, five rebounds and three steals for Edison (11-11), which opened a 28-11 lead after a quarter.

Virginia Lagdameo scored 14 points, Samira Sargent netted 10 points, Daniella Marmol grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds and Kenisha Chester finished with nine points, 10 rebounds and three steals for the Eagles.
