EDISON, NJ - The John P. Stevens Marching Hawks will be hosting its 31st annual Marching Band Festival on Sunday, October 7, beginning at 12:00 noon.  The festival, which helps support the school’s marching band program, will include  music, food, and a variety of vendors.

This year’s John P. Stevens Hawks Marching Band is comprised of 180 members.  The title of this year’s show is “Reflections,” featuring musical arrangements by Aaron Guidry.   Andrew DeNicola and John Zazzali, who serve as John P. Stevens’ band director and associate band director, are confident that the team will perform very well at the festival.  “We have an extremely hard working group of students,  tremendous staff, a great show to present, a supportive administration, and a parental group that is second to none -- what else could a band director ask for” stated Mr. DeNicola.

The Festival will be held at McGowan Stadium located on the newly renovated turf field behind the high school.  Eight marching bands from Central New Jersey and the surrounding area will be performing to vie for trophies and capture awards for Best Music, Best Effect, and Best Visual.    Admission to the festival is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors and students.
