Hawks Softball Now 12 and 3 With Victory Over Piscataway


EDISON, NJ – The game Monday evening remained scoreless until the bottom of the second inning when Julie Siecinski led off with a walk only later to be picked off as Amanda Lombardi and Brianna Zederbaum followed with a single each.

Amanda Leary earned an RBI with a hard line drive single to right field. An error by Piscataway allowed Zederbaum to score ending the second inning 2-0.

Piscataway then scored their first run in the top of the third on a line drive sacrifice by Julia Seader.

The Lady Hawks then blew the game open by scoring 5 in the bottom of the third inning.

Kayla Smith led off with a single, Amanda Lombardi had an RBI single up the middle followed by Zederbaum’s RBI single in the inning.

Piscataway's last two runs were scored by Seader who reached on a single in the 5th and scored on a sacrifice fly. The last run she hit a solo homer to right center.

The final score was J.P. Stevens 7, Piscataway 4.
