James Curcio of Edison, Dies at 62


EDISON, NJ - James V. Curcio, 62, of Edison, entered into eternal rest, Monday October 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Edison.

Jim owned and operated Curcio Bus Service in Edison for 35 years before retiring in 2007.

He was a member of the Hi-Mar Striper bass fishing club.

Jim was predeceased by his wife Adele P. Sorrentino Curcio in February 2014. He is survived by his children James V. Curcio Jr. and his wife Colleen of Manahawkin, Danielle M. Scarito and her husband David of Edison, and Kristin M. Curcio and her husband Brian of Chatham. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew, Cali, Allie Rose, J.T., Jake, and a baby girl due October 17th, and his sister Claudia Schoen of Lenora, Kansas.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday October 10, 2014 at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The memorial service will be at 8:30 pm with Rev. Christopher Sadlo officiating.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

New Brunswick Prisoner Reentry Site to Open Tuesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who has made prisoner reentry programs his major focus, will be on hand Tuesday to open a new site on Livingston Avenue. 

McGreevey runs the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a nonprofit agency serving court-involved individuals. The opening is set for 11 a.m. at  57 Livingston Avenue, Unit 3, New Brunswick, N.J.
