EDISON, NJ - James Monroe Elementary School held an open house for parents and students Thursday at its new location for the next two years.

After the devastating fire on March 22, students finished out the year in temporary classrooms provided by Middlesex County College.

James Monroe Elementary students now have a new home at St. Cecelia's located at 45 Wilus Way, Iselin under a two-year lease agreement while rebuilding of the school is under way.

The Open House was an opportunity for students and parents to take a walk through the building, utilizing the same “Look & Leave” protocol that was established at Middlesex County College.

School starts and Sept. 3 and back to school night is scheduled for Sept. 16.
