SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – KC’s Korner officially kicked off summer 2017 earlier this month and, in addition to offering food, spirits and entertainment, the Oak Tree Road establishment will soon offer a new state lottery game.

The New Jersey Lottery will be adding Quick Draw to its lineup with KC’s among the first local restaurant and tavern chosen to offer the game, beginning July 17.

“The state has implemented a new video keno game and we are one of only 200 taverns and restaurants in New Jersey selected at this time,” said KC’s Korner owner Walter Kurilew, noting that the lottery commission approached him about offering the game. “It's a big deal in New Jersey and it’s going to be here.”

Quick Draw, which is currently played in 18 other states, including New York, is a game of chance that provides players with a field of 80 numbers from which to choose up to 10 numbers. The state Lottery draws 20 numbers with players winning prizes depending on how many numbers they match. Drawings are held every five minutes, with the winning numbers displayed on television screens located within the restaurant and bar.

Additionally, the game came be played during KC’s regular hours of operation and there will be a scanner located in the establishment for players to check tickets. “It’s cool and it looks really interesting and has been very successful in other states,” Kurilew said.

Along with a new lottery game, KC’s is also offering a variety of seafood options every as well as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic frozen drink specials this summer.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the seafood bar at KC’s will feature a variety of fresh dishes, including clams, crab cakes, linguini with garlic and clam sauce, and shrimp. Additionally, four varieties of non-alcoholic frozen treats will be available for $4 each with flavors such as pina colada, margarita, and frozen strawberry available. For those looking for the adult version, $6 frozen drinks will be available in such flavors as margarita, mudslide, pina colada, and both strawberry colada and strawberry daiquiri. Additionally, KC's also has Hell or Highwater, a seasonal watermelon beer from 21st Amendment Brewery, on tap.

“We hope people will come down to eat, drink and play,” said Kurilew. “From seafood to keCome check it out.”

KC’s, located at 100 Oak Tree Avenue at the corner of Front Street, is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and is also available for private parties. Owned by Kurilew for over 33 years, KC’s Korner Restaurant and Tavern features a private dining room, outside seating, and lunch and dinner daily specials. KC’s also offers a diverse selection bottle and IPA beers as well as Heineken brewlock on draft.
