NEW JERSEY -- When girls participate in outdoor adventures, they benefit in important ways and the great news is now many of the Girl Scout Outdoor programs are available online for free.  Since 1912, girls have explored and strengthened their outdoor skills and commitment to environmental stewardship through Girl Scouting.  Self-guided programs are available to download and safely do in a backyard or in a local park, as well as, virtual programs that are led by a Girl Scout Specialist online.

Research has demonstrated that girls’ skills advance in four important ways by participating in Girl Scouts’ outdoor adventures.  They gain interest in new activities, confidence, competence, and environmental stewardship.

Today’s girls need broad skills, behaviors, and attitudes to navigate their high school and college careers.  Thankfully, Girl Scout programs and activities are age-appropriate and available for free to all girls, virtually.

Girl Scouts provides girls with unparalleled opportunities to develop the skills, courage, confidence and appreciation of the natural world that sets them up to become tomorrow’s leaders.  These age-appropriate are hands-on and prepare girls to take on new challenges.
