Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the Bayonne Office On Aging will host a Medicare open enrollment forum that will take place on Wednesday, November 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 630 Avenue C. City Hall is located on Avenue C between 27th and 28th Streets. The forum is designed to prepare local seniors for the open enrollment period for Medicare. That period runs through December 7, 2017, for coverage that takes effect on January 1, 2018. Mayor Davis said, “I would like to encourage our senior residents to come to City Hall on November 29. This forum will provide a great opportunity for Medicare recipients to learn about a variety of healthcare choices.”
The forum will give residents the opportunity to review their current Medicare coverage. At the event, people will have the chance to compare plan options. Those options include Part D prescription drug plans and lowering premium costs in 2018. Forum participants will also be able to find out information about PAAD and Senior Gold Discount Programs.
At the forum, the public will be able to make appointments for one-on-one help from the Bayonne Office On Aging. Staff will be available to answer your questions.
Refreshments will be provided. Call the Bayonne Office On Aging 201-858-6119 for more information.
