More Bad Weather Forecasted for Edison

EDISON, NJ – The never ending winter is here again. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that remains in effect from 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon through 1 a.m. Wednesday for Middlesex and Mercer counties.

Expect snow, sleet and freezing rain with snow and sleet accumulations of less than 1 inch and ice accumulations of up to around a tenth of an inch.

Snow and sleet will overspread the area during the afternoon hours. The snow and sleet will transition to freezing rain this evening before changing to rain for the overnight hours.

Temperatures remain in the mid to upper 20s this afternoon, rising into the mid 30s tonight.

Forecast

This Afternoon - Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 32. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight - Freezing rain and sleet before 9pm, then freezing rain between 9pm and 11pm, then rain after 11pm. Low around 30. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday - Rain. High near 42. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night - Rain and snow before 11pm, then snow and sleet between 11pm and 1am, then snow after 1am. Low around 26. West wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Thursday - Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 28. North wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 8.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 27
