EDISON, NJ – For the third consecutive week, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Edison area.
A wintry mix of precipitation is expected for Sunday night into Monday night and the Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Rain is forecasted to move into the region Sunday night. The rain will mix with freezing rain and sleet Monday as colder air pushes southeastward into the area. A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected late Monday afternoon and evening before changing to all snow toward midnight.
Temperatures will remain mainly in the lower and middle 30s on Monday, falling into the 20s on Monday night.
This Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility and use extra caution if driving.
