“This is a great event- a super running course, family fun, something for everyone.  We invite the community to come together to raise funds to benefit the children and adults who find help and hope at NJID,” said Venus Majeski, NJID Director of Development and Community Relations.  “Many NJID supporters have already started fundraising for the 5K by creating teams and donation pages on Crowdrise.  If you cannot make it to the race, you can still be a part of this great community effort.  Just log onto Crowdrise.com and search for 2017 LAKEVIEW 5K.  No donation is too small; every dollar makes an impact and is greatly appreciated,” said Ms. Majeski.

The international singing sensation Sparsh Shah, who recently was featured on Steve Harvey’s “Little Big Shots” will be performing the National Anthem and a few of his favorite songs.  Thirteen year old Sparsh was born with osteogenesis imperfecta and attended Lakeview.  His inspirational singing career has brought him to Madison Square Garden, Times Square NY and a variety of high profile venues and television shows in the US and India.
