EDISON, NJ – A local business received a bomb threat around 1:40 p.m. on Friday authorities said.
Aerosoles, a shoe manufacturer with a corporate office in Edison and over 100 outlets across the U.S.and maintains a building at 201 Meadow Road, notified police after they received a phone call that a bomb was in the building.
Edison Police and Fire units responded to the scene and evacuated the 200 employees from the 400,000 square foot facility according to Sgt. Robert Dudash, Edison Police Department Public Information Officer.
Multiple K-9 units were called in from the State Police, Middlesex County Sheriff's Office and Princeton Police to search the building.
The search concluded shortly at after 7 p.m. resulting in no explosive device discovered.
The investigation is still on going, Dudash said.
