South Brunswick Police: Man Gets Naked After Car Crash, Tries To Enter Home

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – Police officers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Finnegan’s Lane at 6:45 a.m. on May 21 found the driver baring it all as he tried to enter a home.

According to police, Joseph Slovinsky, 50, of North Brunswick, was driving a 1999 Honda Accord east on Finnegan’s Lane when he allegedly hit two other vehicles, rear-ending a 2011 Volkswagen and then a 2016 Toyota Camry in the westbound lane.

Police said that Slovinsky pushed the Volkswagen about 100 feet and then went around it into the westbound lane where he struck the Camry.

Slovinsky then continued east in the westbound lanes, made a U-turn, and came back, hitting the Camry a second time, disabling his vehicle, police said.

Then things got a little strange.

According to police, Slovinsky exited his vehicle, stripped off his clothes, and then tried to get into a home on the road.

Police said responding officers Kevin O’Neil and Ray McCarthy immediately ordered him to get away from the door of the home and lay on the ground.

Slovinsky complied and the officers took him into custody, police said.

The officers said Slovinsky was “rambling and incoherent.”

The Kendall Park First Aid Squad took him to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for evaluation.

The drivers of the other vehicles and the homeowner were not seriously injured during the incident, police said.

Slovinsky is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit burglary, lewdness, criminal mischief and received numerous motor vehicle citations, police said.
