EDISON, NJ - For the second straight game, the Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team played to a 0-0 tie after double overtime. The Chargers and Wardlaw-Hartridge High School matchup ended in a 0-0 tie on Wednesday. Julia Masucci made 10 saves for Spotswood while her counterpart Nikolette Aponte made five for the Rams. The tie keeps the Chargers' unbeated streak alive as Spotswood and South River High School remain the only teams in the Greater Middlesex Conference that have not lost a game. South River is 6-0 while Spotswood is 5-0-2. The Chargers travel to Carteret High School on Friday to face the Ramblers. Spotswood defeated Carteret in the opening game of the 2019 season 1-0 on a goal from Cailin Lennan. Game time is 4 p.m.
