Spotswood Boys Varsity Lose First Game to Bishop Ahr, Edison

EDISON - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team lost its first game of the season to Bishop Ahr yesterday 4-1.

Andrew Picado scored the lone goal for the Chargers and Dylan Blado had the single assist. Senior Zach Rodriguez, who has been in net for all six of the team's games thus far, made seven saves.

After a scoreless first half, Bishop Ahr stopped the Chargers win streak at five. Luke Roche and Angelo Napoli both netted two goals for the Edison team. Patrick Hartman and Fitzgerald Flores had two assists each.

Anthony Tirri made ten saves in net, holding the Chargers to only one goal.

The loss moves the team's record to 5-1 on the season. Their next matchup is against South River on Monday. The team will travel to play the Rams at 7 p.m.
