Temple Beth O’r Beth Torah of Clark Presents The Comedy of Joel Chasnoff

On Sunday, March 19 at 3 p.m. famed comedian Joel Chasnoff will appear at Temple Beth O’r-Beth Torah (TBOBT) for a free comedy show.

Joel is considered by many to be the premier Jewish comedian touring today. He has appeared on stage and screen in nine countries, in a USO comedy tour of Japan and Korea, in over 1000 Jewish events in North America and Europe, and on Israeli late-night TV.  He is the author of the comedic memoir, The 188th Crybaby Brigade.

Joel is appearing at the synagogue’s Sol Sern Memorial Program, a yearly tribute to the memory of Sol Sern, a member of the TBOBT family who passed away in 1993 and was much beloved for his sense of humor and good works in the community.

The program is being offered free of charge and is open to the community. The event is made possible in part by a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and by the TBOBT Sol Sern Memorial Fund.

TBOBT is a vibrant center of Jewish life in central New Jersey, offering a broad range of programming to meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of the community, young and old.  Its innovative Hebrew School educates children from pre-school age through Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Award-winning programs include health workshops and fitness groups, greening the environment, and serving the needs of adults with special needs.
