The Curious Case of a Casual Terrorist
By Sudipta Bhawmik

Come and see this new drama based on real events that took place in New Jersey from 2002-2005 that tells the intriguing story of Basant Adnani, a sixty-year-old Indian businessman, who was arrested by US law enforcement on terrorism charges. Basant was accused of supplying shoulder-launched surface to air missiles to a terrorist organization that wanted to shoot down passenger jetliners on American soil. However, Basant did not supply any real weapon to any real terrorist. Still the court found him guilty and Basant was imprisoned for life. But why? Was Basant really a terrorist, or just a bumbling old salesman desperately trying to make a sale? Come, watch the show, and you be the judge.
