METUCHEN, NJ - Raconteur Radio presents The Wizard of Menlo Park, an “old-time” radio play, at the Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen.
In the play, Thomas Alva Edison reflects back upon his long, dynamic career as inventor, scientist, and businessman. Edison opens an “invention factory” at Menlo Park, perfects the phonograph, and with great trial-and-error effort, finally succeeds in inventing a practical electric light.
The Wizard of Menlo Park is a staged radio play, complete with costumes, lighting and sound effects!
The show stars Michael Jarmus, Thom Boyer, Laurence Mintz and Alex Dawson. The performance is a family event.
The performance is free and open to adults, teens and tweens. This program is one in a series at the Metuchen Public Library celebrating New Jersey’s 350th anniversary.
It is paid for by the Friends of the Metuchen Library. For more information, email Katherine List at KLiss@Lmxac.org.
