OLD BRIDGE, NJ - Police have not released the gender or any other identity information of a body that was discovered in the woods behind the Grand Marquis reception hall on Route 9 in Old Bridge yesterday.  The Grand Marquis is a popular venue for family and community events, proms, weddings, and sports awards ceremonies.

Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Chief William Volkert of the Old Bridge Police Department have only announced that police have recovered an unidentified body from a wooded area in the township this afternoon.

Old Bridge Police responded to the wooded area off Route 9, just south of Old Mill Road in Old Bridge at approximately 2:46 pm.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office tomorrow at 9:00 am.
