Wardlaw+Hartridge Fifth Graders Graduate at Moving Up Ceremony

The fifth graders at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison moved up to Middle School during the Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 5 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.  Students said farewell to Lower School with family, friends and faculty and staff members in attendance.

The program began with the processional to "Prince of Denmark's March" and a flag salute before everyone joined in the singing of “God Bless America.” Andrew Webster, Head of School, provided a welcome for the guests in attendance.

Silvia Davis, Lower School Head, delivered remarks and the third and fourth grade sang “For Just a Little While.” The guests were entertained by a retrospective video presentation, prepared by Erin Maciorowski, Lower School technology specialist. Mr. Webster, Mrs. Davis and Lower School teachers Ellen Ritz (fifth grade), Tim Head (fifth grade) and Ellen Colandrea (fourth grade) handled the presentation of certificates.

The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison is Central Jersey’s premier PreK-12 independent school. The campus is located at 1295 Inman Avenue in North Edison, near the Scotch Plains border and just five miles from downtown Westfield.
