EDISON, NJ - First graders from The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison, along with their teachers and a group of class parents, spent a busy morning learning about their school’s home town on a trip to the Edison Township Municipal Building. The trip served as the culmination of the first-grade study unit on communities.
The trip included a tour of the police station, mayor’s office, animal shelter, TV studio and court. The students met recently re-elected Edison Township Mayor Tom Lankey, a W+H graduate and Board of Trustees member, and engaged in a Q&A session with him. They also met W+H alumnus and Edison Township prosecutor David Spevack during their visit.
