EDISON, NJ -  The Wardlaw + Hartridge School in Edison is proud to announce the fifth Annual Independent School Global Film Festival, called the INDIE, which is a joint faculty and student initiative seeking to raise awareness regarding current global issues. This year’s event is being held in the new Berry Performing Arts Center on March 10, with red carpet entry at 2 p.m. for Middle School and 4:30 p.m. for Upper School filmmakers.

The INDIE is a forum to showcase student work, while also allowing for artistic freedom, cultivating leadership skills, all through a global lens.

Students whose films were selected to the showcase will have their pictures taken by members of the local NJ press. Industry professionals will attend the event and evaluate the films.  Following the screening, there will be a Q & A with the filmmakers.  Awards for Best Commercial, Best Screenplay, Best Narrative, Best Non-Narrative, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Director, and Best Picture will be given on April 3 and all winners will receive two tickets to the Tribeca Film Festival to attend the film of their choice.
