EDISON, NJ - William Lyle “ Big Bill “ Du Beau 67, of Edison, entered into eternal rest, Monday May 11, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was born in Elizabeth and has resided in Edison for the past 42 years.
Bill was a steamfitter with Local #638 in NYC for 40 years before retiring in 2002. He then went on to work as a mailroom clerk at Hoagland, Longo, Moran , Dunst, and Doukas law firm in New Brunswick for 10 years.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving on USS Eugene A. Green.
He was a member of the Clara Barton American Legion Post #324 in Edison, and enjoyed playing and watching Golf, and the Mets, and spending time with his grandsons.
Bill is survived by his wife Ann P. Berkowitz Du Beau, his daughter Jennifer L. Ranieri and her husband Daniel G. of Hamilton, and his grandsons Ryan Daniel, and Connor William. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Androvich and Joan Sortino both of Rahway, and several cousins, nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to Autism Speaks, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
