Winter Computer Classes at Edison Public Library

It may be cold outside but our fun computer classes will warm you up at the Edison Public Library! Registration begins one week prior to each class. To register, call 732-287-2298 Extension 2.

 

The Main Library at 340 Plainfield Ave., Edison, offers classes from 2:30 to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays.

Feb. 6: Computer Basics is for anyone just beginning to learn how to use a computer.

Feb. 13: Mouse Skills will teach computer novices how to manipulate a mouse.

Feb. 20: How to Buy a Computer 

Feb. 2: Internet 

Mar. 6: How to Spot Fake News will help you interpret what you read and hear. The class is NOT political.

Mar. 13: Word I (Beginner) 

Mar. 20: Word II (Intermediate)

The North Edison Branch at 777 Grove Ave., Edison, offers classes from 2:30 to 4:00 pm on Thursdays.

Feb. 8: Excel I (Beginner) will teach you how to execute formulas and use spreadsheets.

Feb. 15: Excel II (Intermediate) 

Feb. 22: Excel III (Advanced) 

Mar. 1: Word I (Beginner). Mar. 8: Word II (Intermediate) 

Mar. 15: Powerpoint I (Beginner) 

Mar. 22: Powerpoint II (Intermediate)

East Brunswick Rabbi Charged with Engaging in Prostitution with a Child

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

New Brunswick Prisoner Reentry Site to Open Tuesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who has made prisoner reentry programs his major focus, will be on hand Tuesday to open a new site on Livingston Avenue. 

McGreevey runs the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC), a nonprofit agency serving court-involved individuals. The opening is set for 11 a.m. at  57 Livingston Avenue, Unit 3, New Brunswick, N.J.
