New Jersey:  Children’s Specialized Hospital will host a free webinar, Transitioning Adolescent Healthcare into Adulthood, for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The webinar will consist of presentations from various experts at Children’s Specialized Hospital and will provide support and guidance for parents and caregivers to help navigate their child’s journey into adulthood.

 

Children’s Specialized Hospital will offer an English session on May 22 from 12 pm- 1:30 pm and a Spanish session on May 19 from 11 am- 12:30 pm. Topics will include:

  • Healthcare transition readiness
  • Legal guardianship
  • Overcoming adult healthcare barriers
  • Finding adult providers
  • Practical resources

This event is open to the public and attendees do not need to be Children’s Specialized Hospital patients or employees. Clinicians, professionals in the field, parents, and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
