Edison, NJ - The Child Care Services Branch of the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy is holding its 11th annual Tot Trot & Fall Festival on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Metuchen High School. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 11 a.m.
The event will feature games, activities, and food trucks. Various vendors will also be on hand to showcase services and products. The Tot Trot is open to children 12 and under, including crawlers, according to the YMCA. Each child who participates will receive a medal and a t-shirt. Other activities at the event will include crafts, face painting, a bounce house, sports demos, and fitness activities.
There is a $15 pre-registration fee ($18 on the day of the event) to participate in the Tot Trot. Wrist bands to participate in the games, bounce house, and other entertainment are $10.
According to the YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy, proceeds from the event helps the organization support families with scholarship assistance in situations when they are unable to pay the full cost of child care. The funds raised from the event will also provide aid to families in crisis and allow the organization to temporarily provide tuition assistance in the event of a family emergency.
