Edison, NJ - The Edison Arts Society (EAS) announced that it has received a grant from Investors Foundation toward the expansion of the Edison Arts Society Sculpture Garden in Edison. The $10,000 grant will help further EAS' mission to cultivate a love for all the arts - Dance, Music, Poetry, Visual and Performing Arts, stated the association.
"This is an enormous step toward adding another magnificent sculpture -- Spring In Repose --to the EAS Sculpture Garden,” said EAS President Gloria S. Dittman. Spring In Repose is a statue of a mermaid with flowers cascading throughout her hair while lying on a bed of water lilies, she explained.
Investors Bank created the Investors Foundation in 2005 to support the communities Investors Bank serves. Investors Foundation supports initiatives in the arts, youth development, health and human services, education and affordable housing.
“We, at EAS, cannot thank Investors enough for their consideration and generosity in helping provide such a wonderful addition to our EAS Garden. Investors' dedication to the arts is admirable and so appreciated,” said Ms. Dittman.
The presentation of the grant will be on Friday, September 27 at 11 am at Investors Bank, Clara Barton Branch, Amboy Avenue in Edison.
