EDISON, NJ - The Township of Edison's annual Memorial Day parade previously scheduled for May 24, 2020, has been canceled, according to the Office of Emergency Management.
"The State of New Jersey’s Declaration of a Public Health Emergency due to the COVID-19 Pandemic prevents us from allowing a gathering of greater than ten persons.  Although we have seen some significant progress in ‘flattening the curve’, the risks are still too great, and we would be in violation of Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 107 if we were to allow the parade to occur," said OEM in a prepared statement.
"We ask our community to please remember the magnitude of service all of our Veterans have made, and especially those who tragically made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great country."
