“Edison Township Schools enjoyed a seamless opening of schools for our 16,700 plus students.  Administrators, facility managers, secretaries, and custodians spent the summer preparing for students to return,” said Interim Superintendent Margaret Contaldi.

In addition to Back to School Night at the District’s high schools, Ms. Contaldi reminded all parents and guardians to look to each school’s website to identify when their child(ren)’s Back to School night is scheduled as there are several different dates.

“Thanks to our teachers and paraprofessionals,  instruction was underway from the moment students entered each classroom on all grade levels.  It has been reported that transportation and enrollment have also enjoyed one of the smoothest back to school routines in recent memory.  Edison Board of Education continues to strive for excellence for all our students,” she said.
