EDISON, NJ - The Wardlaw + Hartridge School in Edison held its inaugural Shakespeare Recitation Competition on Feb. 23 in the Oakwood Room. Six Upper School performers memorized and performed a monologue or soliloquy from one of William Shakespeare's 39 plays. Students were judged on three elements: understanding, expression and communication.

CJ Stueck of Scotch Plains prevailed as the winner of a very tight competition. Other competitors included Claire Stout of Maplewood, Matangi Melpakkam of Piscataway, Kallie Schildge of Westfield, Mayah Nissim of Scotch Plains and Ariana Di Landro of Elizabeth.
