EDISON, NJ – Dawn Francavilla, Director of Student Life at The Wardlaw + Hartridge School in Edison accompanied 11 students to a Teen Health Seminar at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The program aims to educate students about health issues and hospital career choices.
The 11 students who attended the program were Zach Brown of South Plainfield, Logan D’Amore of Scotch Plains, Camila Fang of Edison, Ricardo Garces of North Brunswick, Clare Jeffery of Westfield, Sydney Johnson of Piscataway, Sahil Mulji of Edison, Kallie Schildge of Westfield, Neha Sharma of Edison, William Yin of Scotch Plains and Aliya Zaidi of Edison.
The program began with a series of lectures by physicians, nurses, and selected hospital staff. A tour and explanation of several departments including the morgue followed after. Students also had the opportunity to learn about a variety of health professions and ask questions regarding possible college choices.
